What (Maintenance – Tree Limb Removal): We’ll walk the trail and do any general trail maintenance as needed.

Maintenance Notes: Wear appropriate outdoor gear (sturdy shoes and long pants) and gloves ( briar and brambles ). Some pruning tools will be provided; you may bring your favorite tools.

Join us at Eisenhower State Park in beautiful North Texas on Lake Texoma! Take advantage of a great, family friendly camping opportunity. We'll provide all of the camping equipment and guidance, and when you provide the family, we'll have a recipe for fun.

Come out to Ray Roberts Lake State Park and take advantage of a great, family friendly camping opportunity. We'll provide all of the camping equipment and guidance, and when you provide the family, we'll have a recipe for fun.
Spend the night at Cedar Hill State Park and learn the basic outdoor skills for an overnight stay at a Texas State Park, all with the assistance of a Park Ranger. All necessary gear for the overnight camp out will be provided!
Join the Texas Outdoor Family at Lake Mineral Wells for a special Screened Shelter Event. All the normal joys of camping with a roof over your head and protections from the weather. Also included is all of the camping gear you'll need to cook your meals and enjoy a night in the outdoors.
TEXAS OUTDOOR FAMILY presents...
Visit Dinosaur Valley State Park and see the preserved Dinosaur Tracks in the riverbed! After a day of fun, learn the basics of a beloved camping past time - Dutch Oven Cooking! We'll provide all of the camping equipment you'll need for the weekend including a Dutch Oven and instruction on how to use it. Suggested recipes will be provided before the event.
Dr. Dotty Woodson, Extension Program Specialist - Water Resources will be teaching this class and will provide participants the opportunity to construct a 55 gallon rain barrel as well as discuss installing an efficient irrigation system. The rain barrel* is yours to take home!
Cost: $50.00 each barrel (covers cost of rain barrel and materials)
*Rain barrels measure 24 inches in diameter and 36 inches tall. Please bring a vehicle large enough to haul your rain barrel(s) home.

The City of McKinney Office of Environmental Stewardship is hosting a rainbarrel making class taught by Dr. Dotty Woodson, Extension Program Specialist - Water Resources. This class and will provide participants the opportunity to construct a 55 gallon rain barrel as well as discuss installing an efficient irrigation system. The rain barrel* is yours to take home!
Cost: $50.00 per barrel
*Rain barrels measure 24 inches in diameter and 36 inches tall. Please bring a vehicle large enough to haul your rain barrel(s) home.
