Patricia Allison will bring a 2-day Introduction to Permaculture course to Dallas in fall of 2011. Patricia is well-known in the Permaculture world for her inspiring and excellent Permaculture introduction week-ends. Come learn the basics of this answer to our world's need to live sustainably.
Dates: Oct 8-9, both days, all day from 9 until 5. Description: The introductory course, like all Permaculture courses, is a combination of lecture, hands-on experience, hope, and joy. It is a fundamentals course and sends you on a journey to create a sustainable planet by starting with your own home. |
Local businesses and residents have organized a community seminar about green practices and products that contribute to a healthy home and a healthy family for all. Saturday, October 22, they are presenting a free seminar in the McKinney Performing Arts Center at 1pm.
It will be repeated at 3pm on the same day.
The hour-long seminar will include presentations by Dr. Alyssa Summey, DC, ; Estella Scaggs, Nursing Manager of Environmental Health Center of Dallas; and Humberto Rodriguez, President of Advance Casas Construction. Sponsor is Collin County Affordable Housing Foundation. The goal is to bring to public attention the dangers of long-term use of toxic products inside the home and for personal use.
