Learn how to recognize helpful garden insects and attract them to your yard in order to prevent pests and diseases through organic techniques. Amanda Vanhoozier will teach the class. Free.
Gather your friends, family, scout troop, and neighbors and do the “buffalo stomp” with the herd of seeders. Enhance the beauty of the trail system by participating in the annual seeding. Free.
Donelle Simmons, garden coach and co-host of The Farm Girls Organic Gardening radio show, will share secrets and techniques for fall organic vegetable gardening. Donelle, along with her mother Marilyn, grow and feed 15 families a year through their educational CSA program, offer an organic gardening radio sho, and garden coaching advice to help others grow bountiful gardens. Free.

There are many ways for our members to participate. If you enjoy working outside among the trees or if you prefer research, the study of maps or working to help keep things organized and running smoothly, there is a place for you in the Dallas Historic Tree Coalition. No dues at this time.

The Dallas Arboretum decks out for the autumn with fall flowers as many as 50,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash to form the storybook pumpkin village. Take home a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. Trick or treat during Family Fun Weekend Oct. 26-27.
