Texas Organic Farmers and Gardeners Conference - Austin
Conference is geared to producers and consumers. Topics range from understanding product labeling to organic fruit tree management to urban homesteading. Jim Hightower, former Texas Agriculture Commissioner and bestselling author, will deliver the keynote speech. $200/nonmembers, $110/day pass. $165/members, $90/day pass. $50/banquet tickets sold separately. Winter SolstiCelebration - Dallas
20th annual Winter SolstiCelebration featuring ritual, dance, magic, music, poetry, conscious movement, meditation and storytelling. This is the final year for the event. Bring a flashlight to participate in the return of the light ceremony. Bring food pantry and winter wear donations. Cost: Adults - $20/at the door, $17/advance.
