Texas Discovery Gardens joins in a park-wide July 4th celebration by offering $1 admission to the gardens and butterfly exhibit and extended hours.
Volunteer at the new White Rock Local Garden. The crew will be building beds, constructing an arbor, weeding, planting and pruning. Bring shovels, cordless drill, weed-eaters. Breakfast and refreshments provided. info@whiterocklocalmarket.com.
Take a guided hike on this 2,000-acre preserve prairie. Hikes at 5 pm at 7pm.

Creatures from the Dallas Zoo will be on hand for this special educational presentation prior to the game between the Rangers and the Athletics at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Info: 817-436-5979.
