Family Fun Science Event: ECSI - Denton

This is a family-based, self-paced event that will take our participants through the process of training to be an environmental crime scene investigator. They will use their new skills to assess a simulated environmental crime scene and solve the mystery of who done it.

Cost: $8 per child ($1 discount with donation of canned food item). Up to 2 adults free with each child, ages 2 and under free. (No pre-registration)

 All applicable activities, snack, and Sky Theater show included.

Dinosaur Valley State Park Campout - Glen Rose

TEXAS OUTDOOR FAMILY presents...

Visit Dinosaur Valley State Park and see the preserved Dinosaur Tracks in the riverbed! After a day of fun, learn the basics of a beloved camping past time - Dutch Oven Cooking! We'll provide all of the camping equipment you'll need for the weekend including a Dutch Oven and instruction on how to use it. Suggested recipes will be provided before the event.

2011 SNOWFARI WINTER CAMPS: GRADES PreK - 5

Curb your kid’s cabin fever at our exciting Snowfari Winter Break Camp at the Dallas Zoo and Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park!

Snowfari Winter Camps are all single day camps which run from 9:00-3:00PM daily on December 19, 20, 21, 27, 28, and 29, 2011.

Daily Camp Cost $40/members & $45/non-members per day
Beforecare Cost $5/members & $6/non-members per day
Aftercare Cost $10/members & $12/non-members per day

 

Sierra Club Day Hike - Ft Worth

Meet at the Hardwicke Interpretative Visitors Center parking lot at Fort Worth Nature Center. After you enter the refuge pay your entrance fee and follow signs to Hardwicke. We will hike a 4-5 mile section of trails. Bring water, snacks, and raingear. Nature Center is located in NW Tarrant County on Lake Worth. Take Highway 199 exit west toward Azle off 820 West on western edge of Fort Worth. Leader: Claudia Blalock, 817-924-6242. For more information on Nature Center, visit www.fwnaturecenter.org. In the event of rain, hike is cancelled. No dogs please.
