"Living from the Ground Up" Conference - Mt Pleasant

Farm Skilling event in Mount Pleasant, Living from the Ground Up presented by the local community college for $75. Living from the Ground Up is designed to provide those interested in producing income with their small acreage a chance to learn from area “veteran” producers already running small farms and sustainable agricultural operations through the sharing of their personal experiences.

Keynote speaker Howard Garrett, The Dirt Doctor, is a leader in the natural organic marketplace and provides advice on natural organic gardening, landscaping, pet health, pest control and natural living via a nationally-syndicated radio talk show and in his column, Organic Answers which appears in the Dallas Morning News.

Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch Open to the Public - Pilot Point

North Texas's premiere exotic animal facility offering you the opportunity to experience rare and endangered exotic wildlife in a unique and personal setting. What better way to learn about conservation than by seeing it up close and hands on?

Gates open at 10am. LAST SAFARI TRAM LEAVES @ 4:00PM! This means that all interaction with education animals and self-guided sections of the tour will close at 4:30. If you're coming at the end of the day, we suggest arriving by 3:30 to ensure you get everything in before the last tram leaves @ 4:00. No one will be admitted to the ranch after 4:00pm.

Ticket prices: $10 Adults (13 yrs+) $8 Children (3-12yrs) $8 Seniors (65 yrs+) Children 2 & under are Free

Big Bend National Park Adventure

A Texas naturalist adventure to Midland, TX, Ernst Tinaja rock formation, Panther Junction, the Chisos Mountains and the Chihuahuan Desert. Registration deadline Mar 10. $1400/member, $1500/nonmember includes double occupancy lodging, ground transportation, park entrance fees and meals.
