Learn about the biology, behavior and adaptations of butterflies from entomologist John Watts. Geared to ages 13 and up. $15/nonmembers, $10/members.

Jim Peterson, past-president of the Texas Ornithological Society, will share how he put together the regional database for North Central Texas birds. Jim plans to expand the archive to include every species in Texas.

The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual 4-day event hosted by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Amateur and expert bird watchers are encouraged to count birds in their yards and parks and upload findings. Results aid bird research.
