Just a few miles from Tyler State Park, the Tyler Museum of Art is filled campfires, trees and wildlife as well, thanks to an installation created by a Fort Worth artist. 

Seedling Farm nurtures gardening crusade in south Dallas

Seedling Farm, led by Dr. Owen Lynch, was established to address South Dallas's food desert and job desert challenges. Located at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, it distributes thousands of seedlings annually, fostering local agriculture and economic revival through partnerships and community involvement.

The Keep America Beautiful affiliate was revived last May after being inactive for five years, according to Brenda Finch, Keep Dallas Beautiful's new executive director.

A pair of turkeys will be dining on a rich buffet of veggies and grain at a local sanctuary this Thanksgiving instead of being the main course, thanks to a Fort Worth woman.

Helen Altman, a professional artist and animal lover, adopted the turkeys as chicks from a Fort Worth feed store in March where they were likely destined to be somebody's hoilday meal. 

Grand Prairie to host State Arbor Day celebration

The official state Arbor Day celebration will be held on Nov. 3, at the city’s Grand Central Park. The event will feature tree giveaways, entertainment and educational booths.

Solar eclipse brings out creativity in North Texans

Enthusiasts, like Amy Martin, traveled for totality, while others shared innovative viewing techniques, poetry, and experiences online, capturing the community's vibrant excitement and resourcefulness.
