Recycled Cardboard French Café Playhouse

When it comes to a kid’s imagination there’s nothing like a playhouse to get the creative juices flowing.  But not just any playhouse in this case, instead a playhouse using recycled paper and cardboard, which London transplant and now 14-year Dallas resident Katie Fagelman says she actually came up with on a whim.

When Fort Worth photographer Karl Thibodeaux is out taking pictures of a street scene, he doesn’t mind when a weed gets in the lens. Conversely, when he’s shooting a picture of a tree and a powerline jutts in the frame, he prefers it.

Net Zero Energy Home of Tomorrow shown at the State Fair of Texas

The Net Zero Energy Home of Tomorrow shown at the State Fair of Texas this year was a fully furnished model home.  It has all of the features that you might expect: solar panels, solar hot water system, LED lights, energy efficient appliances, and a smart heating and cooling system. Net Zero means that it produces as much energy as it uses.
