
Coke Buchanan
Coke Buchanan (1951-2018) was a cofounder of the Memnosyne Institute and director of the Memnosyne Institute’s Center for Indigenous Cultures, Global and Local Outreach and Spirituality. Among his tireless efforts to serve indigenous communities worldwide, highlights include his helping to negotiate the first alliance in 300 years between the Hopi and Navajo nations, organized and hosted the Summit on Indigenous Environmental Philosophy resulting in the signing of the Redstone Statement by indigenous environmental activists from around the world.
