A new city of Fort Worth program aims to teach residents the benefits of native landscaping by giving them a starter kit.

Texas landowners paid to restore monarch habitat

The Monarch Butterfly Habitat Exchange, developed by multiple environmental organizations, offers incentives for Texas landowners to restore monarch butterfly habitats, combating significant population decline. The program finances habitat restoration from Mexico to Canada via crowdsourcing, increasing monarch populations while providing economic benefits to landowners and contributors.

Bicyclists and trail runners at Harry S. Moss Park in Dallas know the 284-acre wooded hideaway is an urban treasure. Now the park’s loyal fans and an army of eco-friendly high school students are organizing an event aimed at keeping the wild space from disappearing under a mountain of trash.

Native plant sales spread sustainable gardening in DFW
