North Texas Master Naturalists: Effects of Wind Turbines on Birds & Bats: Dallas

Presentation on the effects of wind turbines on birds and bats by Dr. Amanda Hale. Dr. Hale is an ecologist and evolutionary biologist with a strong interest in conservation biology. She received her M.S. in Ecology from Purdue University and a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Miami. Dr. Hale has extensive field experience in a wide range of habitats across the U.S. and Costa Rica, and has more than 20 years of practical experience conducting field and lab-based research.

Dr. Hale has been investigating the effects of wind energy on birds and bats since 2008, and has been a science advisor to the American Wind Wildlife Institute (AWWI) since 2011.
