DFW came out on top in the recent iNaturalist City Nature Challenge. Over the weekend of April 14-18, we competed with cities nationwide to see which could record the most urban wildlife observations. When it was all said and done, DFW had topped the closest contender by more than 1,000 observations! This amazing accomplishment was due--in large part--to the exceptional group of naturalists who participate here on the DFW Urban Wildlife Facebook Group and its associated iNaturalist Project.
This event is our way of expressing our gratitude for all the support you have offered us over the years. Together we have built something really very special with the DFW Urban Wildlife iNaturalist Project, the Facebook Group, and the blog.
