City of Irving: The Urban Harvest: Foraging the City - Irving

The city is full of food ripe for the picking. Learn how to identify and legally acquire more traditional foods like edible fruits, nuts and naturalized vegetables. In addition, students will learn about wild edibles, edible flowers and even edible weeds that are adapted to Texas’ extreme climate and are commonly found in many North Texas neighborhoods. The course will be led by a member of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.
