Japan and Texas Photographs - From the Fridge to the Fire: Wildlife Contrasts
This photography presentation will highlight the contrasts between the chilly winter months in
Japan and the baking hot climate of South Texas, and how the resident wildlife copes in each
of these harsh environments. Jeremy Woodhouse is an outdoor photographer based in Dallas,
Texas, whose photos have appeared in print all over the world. He has received numerous
photography awards, and his images have been included in exhibitions at the Smithsonian in
Washington, D.C., the Dallas Museum of Natural History, and the Natural History Museum in

Safety in National Parks
Jerry Kasten will review his five year quest to identify and determine the who, where, and why
of people who went missing in America's National Parks from 1872-20002, and were never
found. He will provide a risk list based on his findings that you can use to protect yourself from
becoming another tragic missing person in the National Parks. Jerry is a retired Dallas high
school teacher who spent summers working in national parks as a Seasonal Park Ranger. He is a
member of the Association of National Park Rangers and The National Park Ranger Lodge of the
Fraternal Order of Police.

The Dallas Sierra Club meets at the REI store on the west-bound LBJ/I-635 service road
between Welch Road and Midway Road (west of the Dallas North Tollway, next to Guitar
