Please join us on a search for the elusive Henslow’s Sparrow that spends its winters in East Texas. We will be led by David and Mimi Wolf. Both David and Mimi have led tours for Victor Emanuel Nature Tours, and Mimi is an accomplished artist who has illustrated several bird books and has designed
t-shirts for many birding events in Texas, so we’ll be in the best of company! We’ll also see what other birds spend their winters in East Texas. We will travel to Nacogdoches on Friday afternoon birding along the way and meet with our leaders Saturday morning. If we don’t find our target bird on Saturday we’ll try again Sunday morning before heading back to the Metroplex. Hotel accommodations have not yet been secured so more information will be posted on the FWAS website in the near future.
