Arts: Basic Crochet
Homesteading from DFW Ecovillage
in
the Green Scheme of DFW
Instructor: Rena Hobbs
When: June 18, 2011
Time: 10 am - 12 noon. This follows an optional tour of the Coppell Farmer's Market with a talk about CSAs. And it proceeds optional lunch Healthy Me Art Cafe in Coppell to visit with fellow students and learn more about the ecovillage forming just east of Dallas.
Fee: Class is Free.
Please RSVP here.
More Information: Call Terry Jensen at 817 545-0140 or use message section of RSVP form here. Note:. The church has no information about this class which is organized by Cyberparent, LLC, thru DFW Ecovillage, to help all of us learn homesteading skills.
Where: 150 E Beltline Rd, Coppell, 75019. The church is a brick building (no steeple) behind a service station, almost on the corner of Beltline and Denton Tap Roads. It gets tricky here because the church is on East Beltline and there is construction here. Do not take the detour to East Beltline. Instead, cross over East Beltline and turn right just past the service station. We will be upstairs in room 208. Come in the front and go to the right and up the stairs and it is the room with the windows. Park on the side that is closest to Beltline because there will be many cars there attending a funeral. For more information, please call Terry Jensen at 817 545-0140 or use message section of RSVP form here.
Students Bring: Size I hook and 100% cotton yarn, worsted weight. If you let us know in advance (use the message section of the RSVP form here) the instructor will have the needle and yarn available for $5.00.
Class: You will be taught basic crochet principles and then actually make a washcloth.
Bring your needle arts questions for Rena's Q &A session:
Again, please RSVP here to reserve your place in this class.
