Plant ecologist Suzanne Tuttle was determined in retirement to explore every Texas state park and natural area. Despite the pandemic slowdown, she joyfully completed her 16-year quest Oct. 22, 2022, at Palmetto State Park near San Antonio. That’s a lot of adventures and insights, tales and trail. She will share the high points in her ACC presentation.
Suzanne retired as Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge manager after 23 years at the park. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from UT Arlington and an associate of applied science in horticulture from Tarrant County Junior College (now TCC). She has taught training classes for numerous area Texas Master Naturalist chapters since 1999 and helped found the Cross Timbers Chapter. She enjoys visiting the Sheri Capehart Nature Preserve and has conducted many classes there.
