Astronomy on the Meadow Night Walk - Allen

Guided 1.5-mile night walk. Wear close-toe shoes, long pants and weather appropriate clothes. Bring bug spray, flashlight and binoculars or spotting scope. Meet at the Suncreek Park circular parking lot (just west from the normal Connemara entrance on Alma - see map on website) at 9 p.m. sharp and then walk to the Meadow the back way. Sign up on the Connemara website. This event is not appropriate for young children.

Birding for Beginners Part 2- Dallas

In this two-part class, Sahar Sea, education manager at Trinity River Audubon Center, will introduce birds that call the Arboretum and TRAC home. During the first session, held Jan. 26, participants learn how to ID and spot birds. During the second week, Feb. 9, Sahar will lead a birding walk to explore the trails at Trinity River Audubon Center. $42/nonmembers, $38/members.

Raptors on the Mound - Flower Mound

Eric Neupert, executive director at the Black Land Prairie Raptor Center, will present several hawks, owls and falcons that make Flower Mound their home. Event hosted by the Flower Mound Foundation will include exhibits by The Aldo Leopold Foundation, Keep Flower Mound Beautiful, LBJ Wildflower Center, Lake Lewisville Environmental Learning Area, Native Plant Society of Texas and Texas Master Naturalists.
