City of Arlington: Ecofest - Arlington

Family friendly event with a focus on its ecofriendly exhibitors and education. More than forty vendors will showcase their green products and services. Classes and demonstrations on environmental awareness will take place throughout the day. Ecofest Arlington will also have many children's activities including games, crafts and educational presentations. The city will be giving away trees while supplies last. Free.

Clean Water Fund: DFW: Thirsting for Our Water Future - Richardson

Water-themed conference featuring speakers on the current state of Texas' water supply, saving water, using native & drought resistant plants, climate change & water, water resources threats and aquifer storage.

Red River UU: Earth Day Texoma - Sherman

EDT provides a day of fun, free activities and information to help ordinary people learn practical ways to improve the health of the planet and that of their children.

This year’s keynote speaker is John Nikirk, who will address the topic “Healthy Diet, Happy Planet.”  His talk will explain how changing one’s diet can improve overall health, tell how human eating patterns impact the health of the planet, and give practical tips on making healthy smoothies and other nutritious but tasty foods.
