Panel will discuss how organizations define sustainability, the processes they use, the outcomes they expect to achieve and the tangible and intangible benefits of their respective sustainability strategies.

The North Texas Corporate Recycling Association's seventh annual Eco-bus tour. This year's theme:  "LEED, Lights, & Lager." The North Texas EP’s are a diverse group of young professionals under 30(ish) from all industries with a shared vision of sustainability, community service and professional development.

The Grove, Dallas Coworking is hosting the first ever "Cowork It Out", a monthly jelly-style event for the coworking community to connect and collaborate, as well as introduce the community to a larger Dallas audience. The first event will be held at Klyde Warren Park, powered with wifi, so bring your laptop.

Jack Tidwell, manager of the Environment & Development Department at the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), will speak about Vision North Texas, which is an award-winning partnership of private, public, and academic organizations. 

The presenter will be Fran Witte, Sr. Community Outreach Coordinator, city of Irving, specializing in environmental education and program development.

Ms. Witte is the Secretary for Women in the Environment and is a member of the North Texas Corporate Recycling Association (NTCRA), the Metroplex Recycling Coordinators Roundtable, North American Association for Environmental Education, National Community Gardening Association, TOFGA (Texas Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association) and the NTREG Yahoo Group. Ms. Witte is also member of the Irving's Greater Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Green Business Council and serves as a city of Irving Radiological ("RAD") team member.

Three-day green conference featuring more than 250 speakers, as well as exhibitions, workshops, meetups, film screenings and panel discussions.  DFW environmentalists Amy King, Anna Clark, Charlotte Vick, Mark McWilliams and Mark Hallwill will present a panel discussion on Ocean Conservation through Social Innovation on Oct. 7. $375.

Meghna Tare, the director of the UTA Office of Sustainability, will speak about ways UTA is striving to become a leader in campus sustainability through greening facility operations, championing innovative research, encouraging student projects, promoting an environmentally and sustainability focused curriculum and sponsoring public service. Free.

This family and environmentally friendly event features an ethnic food court, multicultural music and dance performances, cultural displays, original works of art by local artists, a Green Village and hands-on children's educational activities. Festival aims to be a zero waste event. Free.
