North American Nature Photography Association: Texas Buckeye Trail - Dallas
The next NANPA North Texas Meetup is at the Texas Buckeye Trail, which will take us into the heart of the Great Trinity Forest to a refuge of beautiful buckeye trees along the Trinity River. The trail also meanders through a forest of beautiful trees, and several picturesque meadows filled with green grasses and graphic trees trunks.
I am hoping this will be the apex of the Buckeyes, given the weather delays.
NOTE: If the buckeyes bloom early or late we might reschedule a bit to match the apex!
We will meet at the parking lot near the trailhead and then hike in together. For those who arrive early or late, the Buckeye Trail is well marked and partially paved and it is pretty hard to get lost.
Lots of great landscape opportunities, along with macros of the buckeyes and other flora.
Here are a couple of pics from there. Check out last year's trip for more
Please note that there will be a NANPA Release of Liability to sign.
