USGBC North Texas: Case Studies & Cocktails - Irving

The U.S. Green Building Council - North Texas Chapter is hosting a tour of the Lady Bird Johnson Middle School in Irving, the largest net-zero middle school in the U.S. The school generates its own power through geothermal, wind and solar photovoltaics.  Members of the design team will lead the discussion and tour and discuss the design decisions that went into building the school.  $15-$35. North Texas Corporate Recycling Association: Eco-Bus Tour - McKinney

The North Texas Corporate Recycling Association's seventh annual Eco-bus tour. This year's theme:  "LEED, Lights, & Lager." Stops include Pat Lobb Toyota and Franconia Brewing in McKinney with presentation by Perfectly Green. Close-toed flat shoes are required for the tour. Optional networking lunch at 11 a.m. at Hedary’s Mediterranean Grill. $15-$35/tour. Texas Campaign for the Environment: Recycling Wish List Fundraiser - Dallas

Susybelle Gosslee, Advocacy Chair for the Dallas League of Women Voters, will be hosting a party at her home in North Dallas. Special appearance by Dallas' longest-serving City Council Member, Sandy Greyson, and a "Recycling Wish List" that guests will create to send in a letter to the North Pole. Come eat, drink and be merry! $25 minimum. Tickets include food from Celebration Restaurant and drinks from Salt Lick Cellars, Peticolas Brewery and Tito's Vodka. All proceeds will benefit Texas Campaign for the Environment!
