This month, a large youth group from First Baptist Church will help remove brush (privet) in Rosser’s Meadow. Since they are inexperienced in privet removal, experienced privet removers are needed to guide this group. If you have experience in removing privet (brush) or want to learn how, please stop by.

Women in the Environment hosts a film screening of Bat City USA.
Bat City USA tells how a giant colony of bats‚”invaded” an Austin bridge and were met with fear and hostility by residents. When the city threatened to exterminate the bats, a zealous conservationist named Merlin Tuttle stepped in and fought to save them.
Film will be followed by discussion about bats and other pollinators. Bring your lunch and refreshments. Free.

He will discuss both how to take the photos and what applications or other techniques may enhance your images. Chris will also share his inspiring photos from prairies near and far. It’s a “must-see” for all prairie enthusiasts, as it will be a big help as you document the prairies you know and love and also the ones that you may discover.
