Friends of Tandy Hills Natural Area: Prairie Posse - Fort Worth

Are you one of those people who has wanted to help out Tandy Hills in a direct way? Here's your chance. Due to unusual spring rains, the most popular trails at Tandy Hills are overgrown with weeds and other plants. A small crew of volunteers is needed to clear the trails and other areas on a monthly basis, every first Saturday, from 8 am - Noon. Our new designation by the state as a Great Texas Wildlife Trail makes this work even more important. Sign up here: info@tandyhills.org.

City of Coppell: Sustainable Home & Garden Tour - Coppell

An evolution of the annual Smartscape Tour of Coppell, the Sustainable Home and Garden Tour will expand to include features such as solar, rain water catchments, compost methods and backyard habitats in addition to Smartscape design. The idea of this self-guided yard tour is to provide people the opportunity to talk to homeowners about the real impact of investing in features that can be both beneficial to the environment and cost saving. Tour goers will be able to attend all five stops or pick and choose locations that are most relevant to their interests.
