Welcome to “Seussville.”  Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday this month with a reading of some of our children’s favorite Dr. Seuss books.  

Hand-in-Hand
 is a literacy-based drop-in program for adults and their preschoolers to imagine, explore and discover together. Each week, hear a story, get your wiggles out to music, create theme-related crafts and enjoy fun activities.

Hand-in-Hand is free for members and included with the cost of general admission for non-members.

Dinosaur Train Nature Trackers Club - Dallas


DINOSAUR TRAIN NATURE TRACKERS CLUB
Sunday, April 1, from noon - 5 p.m.
MNS Science Building (1318 S. 2nd Ave.) and Nature Building (3535 Grand Ave.)
In conjunction with KERA


Come explore the outdoors, get down to nature and join the Dinosaur Train Nature Trackers Club by completing a variety of hands-on, nature-friendly tasks that lead to exciting discoveries. Enjoy appearances by Buddy the Dinosaur throughout the day! Plus take a break and watch half-hour episodes of Dinosaur Train, including a special segment featuring Carla the shark, in the MNS Science Building auditorium. (Shows will run throughout the afternoon.)

EarthFest 2012 - Allen

ALLEN TO CELEBRATE A GREENER AND HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE APRIL 7
Full day of family activities scheduled for fourth annual EarthFest

The public is invited to join nonprofit organizations from across Allen and throughout North Texas who will gather April 7 at the Connemara Meadow Preserve for a festival filled with outdoor activities for the entire family.

EarthFest 2012 - A Celebration of Nature, Health and Community - will offer adults and children a chance to learn more about the wonders of nature while enjoying the great outdoors.

The family friendly event, which begins at 10 a.m. and runs through 2 p.m., will feature:

• an egg hunt featuring colorful handmade eggs filled with wildflower seeds
• hands-on environmental activities for the entire family
• nature walks and bird watching
• kayaking and canoeing demonstrations
• wildlife presentations
• and much, much more

Green Fest Southlake - Southlake

On Saturday, March 24, 2012 Southlake Town Square will be transformed into a green oasis. Green Fest is the community’s premier opportunity to learn about the many ways to be environmentally friendly, endow a sustainable future, and improve daily living by going green.

Sharky Sunday - Stormwater - Dallas

The massive, 12,000 sq. ft. shark exhibit in MNS has everyone buzzing about sharks. We just can’t get enough. And that’s why we’re offering more hands-on shark fun for our visitors.

Enjoy water-themed activities and demonstrations two Sundays a month as a part of Sharky Sundays. These hands-on science demonstrations and craft projects will have shark enthusiasts of all ages wanting to dive deeper into more shark fun. 

WHO: Invited exhibitors, MNS and all general admission ticket holders
WHAT: Hands-on water-themed activities and demonstrations
WHEN: Sundays, twice monthly, 1-3pm (see schedule for dates and themes)
WHERE: MNS Science Building
WHY: To learn more about sharks, wildlife, engineering, conservation and underwater worlds and get special take-home souvenirs from your visit to MNS
HOW: Just pay general exhibits admission to get in on the sharky fun
