Tony Manasseri, Roger Sanderson; moderator Bill Woodfin. Bill Hunter's expertise is with growing native annuals and Tony Manasseri brings experience and expertise in organic gardening. Roger Sanderson is the head biologist and botanist at The Texas Discovery Gardens and created the Butterfly Garden at the Heard.

The FW Sierra Club hosts this hike at the 13,000-acre refuge. Hike and bird watch for 2-3 hours, then eat a late lunch at a nearby restaurant. Bring raingear, warm clothing, water, snacks, binoculars and cameras. Meet at the Visitors Center at 9 a.m. or see website for carpool options. Learn basic birding techniques on this guided hike where participants can see up to 30-plus species. Bring binoculars, field guides, sunscreen and insect repellent. Wear long pants, closed-toed shoes. All ages welcome. Free.
Join Texas Master Naturalist Jim Varnum for the Winter Tree Walk. Pecan, Bur Oak, Hackberry, Elm. These are just four of the 30-plus trees at Connemara Meadow.
