Citizens' Climate Lobby: Fort Worth Chapter Meeting - Fort Worth

Feeling like the time has come for Congress to take action on climate change? Come join the monthly meeting for the Fort Worth chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby. Now is a great time to get involved because we have several volunteer opportunities available to anyone who is interested.

We are again meeting at the Natural Grocers in their wonderful teaching room. Feel free to bring a grocery list since it also happens to be a great place to stock up the kitchen.

NCTCOG & DFW Clean Cities: National Drive Electric Week - Grapevine

Mingle with electric vehicle participants at Parking Lot 2C (between Neiman Marcus Last Call and Saks OFF 5th) where you'll have a chance to ride in EVs and learn from current owners. Interested in seeing an autonomous vehicle? We'll have one. Want to see what students are building at their local school? Come see for yourself. Admission is free and open to all those who want to learn about electric vehicles.

Citizens' Climate Lobby: Climate Advocate Training & Collin County Chapter Launch - McKinney

Brett Cease, regional coordinator of the national non-profit and non-partisan group Citizens’ Climate Lobby Third Coast division, will be coming to Collin County to start a Citizens’ Climate Lobby Group. 

Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a grassroots citizens lobbying organization that empowers citizens to break through the myth that we can’t make a difference!

North Texas Renewable Energy Group: TreeHouse Field Trip - Dallas

Treehouse is an environmentally-friendly home improvement store that went a major step above and beyond. Their new store in Dallas is described in news reports as "the world's first energy-positive" home improvement store. It means the facility generates ALL of its own energy using solar panels, and then some. 100 percent of the store's electricity needs are met by solar energy, with daily excess fed back to the utility grid to be used by others.

Magnolia Theatre: Film Screening 'An Inconvenient Sequel' - Dallas

The opening weekend for the film, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, begins in the Dallas area and nationwide Aug, 3 and runs several days. Local activists will be attending a screening on Sunday, Aug. 6, including some of the 350Dallas team and climate activists.

Please attend and bring friends and family, and help promote attendance through your email lists and social media. 

Waco Friends of Peace-Climate: Inaugural Climate Change Art Exhibit - Waco

Science tells us anthropogenic climate change is the existential threat of our time. Art provides the emotional expression of this environmental emergency. 

ARTISTS: Please submit a piece to this show. We explore impacts such as sea level rise, droughts, floods, famine, coral bleaching, ice loss, species extinction and superstorms.
