Carla Diana will share stories of designing everything from washing machines to humanoid robots, offering a glimpse into a future filled with digitally-enhanced technologies. She currently leads the Smart Interaction Lab, an initiative focused on design explorations in the form of tinkering and hands-on experimentation around topics such as expressive objects, digital making and sustainability through behavior change. $10-12.

Dallas City Council hosts a public hearing on the gas drilling ordinance before its final vote on it. 

Environmental groups are urging residents to attend this hearing to ensure a strong ordinance is passed.

North Texas Corporate Recycling Association: Eco-Bus Tour - McKinney

The North Texas Corporate Recycling Association's seventh annual Eco-bus tour. This year's theme:  "LEED, Lights, & Lager." Stops include Pat Lobb Toyota and Franconia Brewing in McKinney with presentation by Perfectly Green. Close-toed flat shoes are required for the tour. Optional networking lunch at 11 a.m. at Hedary’s Mediterranean Grill. $15-$35/tour.
