Greater Fort Worth Sierra Club: Camping 101 Training - Fort Worth

Has it been years since you camped with the scouts or just need to update your knowledge of camping equipment, wilderness cooking and clothing yourself for hiking? Virgin campers are welcome and will find this information basic and easy to understand. Join experienced and patient Sierra Club outings leaders who will conduct the class, demonstrate equipment, answer questions and advise on trip planning. Topics to be covered include selection and care of tents, back packs and day packs, stoves, hiking boots, clothing, sleeping bags, sleeping pads as well as meal and trip planning. $15 to be prepaid.
