The three-day event celebrates the endangered birds who migrate 2,500 miles from their breeding grounds in northwest Canada to coastal Texas wetlands.
In Chasing the Whoopers, follow Hank on the Whooping Crane boat tour to the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, where the majestic birds spend the winter eating blue crabs.
The mini-documentary provides a snapshot of the many birds that winter in Port Aransas and the birders and wildlife advocates who make the trek annually to see them.
