Audubon Texas says climate change impacting birds

Audubon Texas is launching a Clean Energy Future Campaign to address climate change impacts on birds by transitioning to clean energy in DFW. Events in Dallas (Sept. 18) and Fort Worth (Sept. 24) aim to recruit volunteers from all demographics to support clean energy initiatives and habitat preservation efforts.

Fort Worth students survey turtles along Trinity River

'World Peace Diet' author at Dallas film screening

Dr. Will Tuttle, animal advocate and author of "The World Peace Diet," spoke in Dallas, highlighting compassion for all beings and the spiritual links of diet. Following a screening of "A Prayer for Compassion," the event, hosted by Maya Acosta and Dr. Rizwan Bukhari, featured discussions, vegan food, and a piano performance.

Texas Christian University in Fort Worth offers Texas's first minor exploring human-animal relationships, directed by Dr. David Aftandilian. This interdisciplinary program investigates human superiority perceptions, animal roles in culture, and impacts on animals from various academic perspectives, fostering empathy and understanding through diverse coursework.
