Just in time for the 19th annual Great Backyard Bird Count (Feb. 12 - 15), Marshall Grain is offering a class on attracting wild birds. Each year thousands of citizen scientists flock to their backyards to help collect research data on the number of birds in their own backyards. Whether you’re interested in counting feathers or just want to enjoy their beauty, winter is the perfect time to get started.
“Backyard Birdwatching” will fill you in on the different types of feeders available and what to put in them so that you can attract and enjoy the many different bird species that inhabit North Texas. We’ll also cover squirrel-proofing methods, housing and bird baths. Classes at both locations.
