Join the Grand Prairie Independent School District and the City of Grand Prairie in celebrating MayFest 2012. Each year the GPISD and City of Grand Prairie co-host this free educational event that focuses on water quality issues.
MayFest goers will enjoy a wide variety of aquatic and wildlife demonstrations, the science of scuba diving, Country Critters Petting Zoo, the Eco Shopping Game, Wildlife on the Move, rainwater harvesting, master composters, water quality exhibits and conservation tips, a recycle relay, information on summer camps, musical and dramatic performances, and other programs. Participants will also have the opportunity to test the water quality of Kirby Creek! Enjoy arts and crafts vendors, festival foods, and more.
