Audubon Dallas: Urban Conservation - Dallas

This month's program: “Creating a Bird Friendly Texas: Audubon Texas’ Urban Conservation Program“ presented by Dr. Tania Homayoun.

Conservation has traditionally been focused on preserving intact habitats and landscapes. However, there is a growing recognition that conservation begins at home, which for the majority of Texans is one of our rapidly growing cities or suburbs. Dr. Homayoun will discuss the need for urban conservation in Texas and introduce Audubon Texas’s Urban Conservation Program, its place in Audubon’s Bird Friendly Communities initiative, and how it can support Audubon Chapter and partner projects at the local level.
