The North Texas Commission is hosting a water summit to discuss the growing demands on our water resources, proposed solutions and corporate best practices. Scheduled speakers include:

• Sen. Kelly Hancock and Rep. Eric Johnson.
• Lewis McMahan, Board Member - Dallas Region, Texas Water Development Board.
• Heather Harward, Executive Director, H2O4Texas.
• Jonathan Radtke, North America Water Resource Manager, Coca-Cola Refreshments.
• Tom Gooch, P.E., Group Manager, Water Resource Planning, Freese & Nichols.

Two-day workshop teaches participants Full-Spectrum Color Theory to connect interior and exterior environments. Includes walks through the gardens to observe color in nature. Bring photos from home or specific issues you would like to address during class exercises. Day one Feb. 23. Day two: March 2. Classes are broken in three sessions per day. Pay by session or all day $175-$185.

Learn to grow your own plants from cuttings and seeds. Take home some plant starts to get your garden going. $25/nonmembers, $20/members. Preregistration required.

Kids can enjoy a summer camp preview while parents relax during TDG's Roses and Chocolate party. Drop off as early as 5 pm, and pick up as late as 8 pm. Kids enjoy crafts, a Butterfly House Safari and a chance to see eye-to-eye with our insect friends. Pizza dinner will be provided. Educator will contact you prior to see if your child needs anything special or has dietary restrictions. Ages 3 and up, toilet trained, please. $15/child, $10/member child.

Dr. George Diggs will be signing his book "The Hunter-Gather Within: Health and the Natural Human Diet." The book provides practical, science-based ways to improve health and address weight regulation using simple diet and lifestyle changes. Diggs will also be giving a short presentation as part of the BRIT Research Symposium being held from 1 to 2:30 pm.

Earthwise Lawn and Landscape rep will showcase latest products and practices available to organic gardners. Class in Fort Worth at 10 a.m. Class repeated at Grapevine location at 1 p.m.

Organic gardening expert from Lady Bug Natural Brand Products in Austin will cover how to improve the quality and quantity of produce harvested from your vegetable garden. Class repeated at Grapevine location at 1 pm.

Enjoy local brews paired with food created by local chefs at this fundraiser for Connemara Conservancy. $50.

Learn two of the primitive and sacred arts of making fire with materials found in nature. Each student will carefully craft his/her own bow drill and hand drill set, using only a knife. Ages 16 and up. $70.

Ages 3-9 are invited to hunt for eggs in the forest, learn about our egg-laying friends, create a wacky spring bonnet. $15.
