USGBC North Texas Emerging Professionals: Headshots & Happy Hour - Dallas

The North Texas EP’s are a diverse group of young professionals under 30(ish) from all industries with a shared vision of sustainability, community service and professional development.

For this event, Dear Clark will be closing their salon doors to host a private party for the USGBC's North Texas Emerging Professionals. Enjoy professional hair styling and makeup, a personal photoshoot, the latest fashion tips, cocktails, tasty food trucks, and your favorite jams. Once you register, you'll even receive additional tips for creating your best on-camera look. $80-$95.

City of Dallas: Trinity River Corridor Town Hall Meeting - Dallas

A comprehensive update on trails along the river, new access points, Balanced Vision Plan lakes and features, soccer fields, flood risk reduction measures, new wetland habitat, parks new PGA golf course, the horse park and roads and much more. There will be time after the presentation for audience questions.

City of Arlington: Electronic Recycling Event - Arlington

Arlington residents can bring old monitors, keyboards, printers, radios, VCRs, video cameras  – anything electronic, with the exception of large, household appliances such as refrigerators, washers and dryers. Call 817-317-2000 for disposal of those items. Proof of Arlington residency is required.

Remember also that the Arlington Landfill accepts old computers and computer-related equipment for recycling year-round. Just drop the items off at the landfill where they will be stored and then taken to a recycler. City of Plano: E-Waste Collection Event - Plano

The city of Plano's partner, United Electronic Recycling, hosts e-waste events the first, second and third Saturday of the month. See website for other locations.

United Electronic Recycling:

  • Accepts all computer related equipment, printers, audio & video equipment, consumer electronics, cell phones, and TVs*.
  • Has a ZERO landfill or incinerator initiative! They are in full compliance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) for identity theft certification, by Federal Mandate and enforced by the Federal Trade Commission.
  • Provides free data destruction (DOD Level 3 HD Erasure) at their physical location.
  • Offers corporate services including secure data erasure, hard drive shredding, asset recovery, and Certificate of Destruction.
  • Provides free pick-up of bulk amounts of equipment to businesses and schools**.
