Find out how you can get involved and meet veg-friendly folks for a great evening of drinks, food, fun and discussion of vegan goings-on in the Metroplex.

Composting Class - Dallas

By composting we can reduce the amount of waste we send to the landfill. In fact, at least 30% of the material sent to the landfill is organic
and could be composted at home. Composting at home is easy: Join us for a free class to learn how you can compost in your own backyard. Spaces are limited so please call us now at 214-670-4475 to reserve your seat.

Indian Fire-making - Southlake

This class will consist of two of the primitive and sacred arts of making fire with materials found in nature, the bow drill and the hand drill. Both methods have been used by many different cultures around the world, who lived close to the earth, and are the most dependable ways of making fires without matches in a survival situation. Each student will carefully craft his/her own bow drill and hand drill set, using only a knife, and then work on proper form. There is nothing quite like the exhilarating feeling of creating fire from natural materials with your hands.

Participants need to bring their own drinking water, knife, and folding chair. Cost is $50. Registration information on website.
