Join Green Source DFW for Happy Hour and get to know other local greenies. First round of drinks and light appetizers on us. 

Learn about common and not-so-common landscape plants tough enough to survive severe water restrictions. Take home samples to add to your garden. $20.

Tea, snacks, crafts and butterfly release. $12/ages 3-11, $3/ages 1-2. $8/adults.

Dale Clark, co-founder of the Dallas County Lepidopterist Society, will present "Fascinating World of Butterflies." The class begins at Texas Discovery Gardens and ends with a field trip by caravan to Dale’s butterfly farm south of Dallas. $30.

Lecture on the evolution of arthropods (like insects and spiders). Enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne and light hors d'oeuvres, plus a tour of the butterfly house. $15.

Texas Discovery Gardens joins in a park-wide July 4th celebration by offering $1 admission to the gardens and butterfly exhibit and extended hours.

Volunteer at the new White Rock Local Garden. The crew will be building beds, constructing an arbor, weeding, planting and pruning. Bring shovels, cordless drill, weed-eaters. Breakfast and refreshments provided. info@whiterocklocalmarket.com.

Bring work gloves and your favorite shovel, gardening tools or litter picker upper. Water and snacks will be available.

Winston Solomon, master juicer, will conduct a free Veggie 201 class on the benefits of juicing. The class will feature wheat grass juicing and will include samples. RSVP on Facebook.
