The cities where we live are heating up, but the places where we live need to be cool. Managing urban heat in an increasingly hot and dry climate is necessary to protect public health, infrastructure, the economy and quality of life. Trees and green infrastructure are a priority for urban heat management.

Stonewall Gardens: A Peep at the Coops Tour - Dallas

A Peep at the Coops is a tour of backyard coops in East Dallas, held in spring to show off the growing passion of chicken keeping. The 2014 tour will be the fifth annual tour, featuring coops in a range of styles and settings. Headquarters is the Stonewall Garden (at Matilda and Mockingbird) and all event proceeds will benefit the outdoor science program. Pick up map at Stonewall Gardens. $10.
