Texas Worm Ranch’s Heather Rinaldi shares how to keep vegetable gardens producing with summer hearty plants, water-wise techniques and healthy soil. Plan a Fall Harvest while getting hands on experience in planting and take home sweet potato slips, basil transplants and pumpkin seeds. $40. Proceeds benefit programs offered by White Rock Local Market, including Love Your Farmer volunteer days, cooking demos, Sprouting Healthy Kids – a hands-on gardening and nutrition after school program, SNAP/Lone Star food stamp program and White Rock Local Garden.

Edible Dallas&FW: Film screening: "Grow" - Dallas

Edible Dallas & Fort Worth presents the Chipotle Food Film Series. The featured movie on April 30 is "Grow." A minimum $2 donation for local charities accepted at door. All attendees receive a buy one/get one item free coupon from Chipotle. See movie trailer. A panel discussion will follow. Panelists: Chef Graham Dodds of Central 214, Charles Plummer with the Youth Village, Andrea Bithell with Oak Cliff Organics and Paul Quinn College from the North Texas Food Bank, with moderator Susie Marshall of GROW North Texas.
