City of Coppell: Air Care: Impact of the Unknown - Coppell

Dallas Plan Commission: Public Hearing on Proposed Gas Drilling Ordinance - Dallas

The Dallas City Plan Commission is holding a public hearing on the new proposed gas drilling ordinance they’ve been writing this summer. Among the most important issues they are considering: how far away drilling should be from homes, schools and businesses, and whether we should allow drilling on city-owned park land. This is likely the last chance to come express concerns.

Trinity River Audubon: Dollar Days - Dallas

Experience the great outdoors this summer by taking a stroll through theTrinity River Audubon Center in Dallas when it lowers its admission to $1 during July and August.

The park features 5 miles of trails through wetlands, forest and prairie on the edge of the Great Trinity Forest.The site also offers great birding opportunities with the 60 resident bird species.

In addition, you can tour the 21,000-square-foot LEED-certified visitors center, which features educational exhibits and a nature store. Bring a lunch for the picnic area. 


TRWD: Trinity Trash Bash - Fort Worth

Groups, families and individuals can choose any one of the seven locations listed in the registration form as a cleanup location. 

All volunteers are invited to the after-party at the Panther Island Pavilion (located behind the TCC/RadioShack campus) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with free food, door prizes and entertainment by Radio Disney AM 620.
