Angelika Film Center: "Blackfish" Screening - Dallas

The Angelika in Dallas is showing the documentary Blackfish, which tells the story of the performing whale Tilikum, who unlike any orca in the wild, has taken the lives of several people while in captivity. The film documents the cruel treatment of these highly intelligent creatures in captivity and the growing opposition to the sea-park industry. Showtimes.

Irving-based Radio Free Rescue featured Blackfish filmmaker Gabriela Cowperthwaite on its online broadcast Aug. 8. Listen to the archived interview on their website.
