Enjoy this meditation that engages the senses, the body and the natural world. Bring a mat or cushion and a water bottle. Dress comfortably and in layers. The practice will be held outdoors. Ages 15 and older. $15/per class.
The city of Fort Worth and the Botanical Research Institute of Texas announced the winners of the inaugural EcoScape contest. Three winners were selected for their yards, which demonstrated water efficient landscaping.
A free public tour will begin at 11:30 a.m., starting at the third place winner's home.
First: 3217 Field Street, Haltom City; Second: 4005 W. 6th Street, Fort Worth; Third: 2517 Ryan Avenue, Fort Worth.
Dallas Young Sierrans, host of this local event and part of the nationwide actions, invite you to help bring attention to local effects of climate change and to show that people oppose the proposed Keystone XL tar sands pipeline. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Environmental Co-op will accept all consumer electronics (including monitors & TVs); small household appliances (including microwaves); all cell phones; and all batteries. In addition, eye glasses will be collected for the Lion’s club. No limit to paper shredding for individuals. However, there are limits for businesses.
