North Texas science marchers do their research with clever signs

Like a cold lab room, the weather was fittingly chilly and gray for the March for Science in DFW on Earth Day morning. And while the message was serious, there was plenty of heartwarming humor to be found at marches held in Dallas, Fort Worth, Denton and Sherman.

A proposed disposal well near Lake Arlington is getting pushback from local municipalities and environmental groups in Tarrant County. As a result, State Representative Nicole Collier, who represents district 95, is hosting a forum to address the topic on Thursday, April 20, at 6 p.m. at the Handley Meadowbrook Community Center in Fort Worth.

November vote to finalize reform recommendations for Texas' energy agency

In November, proposals for reform of the Texas Railroad Commission will be voted on by the Texas Sunset Commission, which reviews state agencies' performance.
