A Texas artist recently created some interesting roadside art for residents and drivers through Collin County.
Houston-born Nathan Randall Green was hired by Light Farms to create the abstract mural at its 1,070-acre master-planned community in Celina, Texas.
The community, developed by Republic Property Group, already includes progressive amenities such as hiking and biking trails, a greenbelt system, a fitness center and a bike-sharing program.
Book Forest created by the Dallas artist named VET and Sheila Cunningham is on display at the Irving Arts Center until Jan. 29.

For nature lovers who like to read, the whimsical installation on display until Jan. 29. at the Irving Arts Center will make you smile.
The Dallas artists who created "Book Forest" also hope to make viewers think about the interdependent relationship of books and trees and the environmental issues surrounding them.

Estate sales, garage sales and flea markets all are perfect hunting grounds for Karla King and her husband Tim of Fort Worth. The pair make clever use of discarded junk not ready to go the landfill. Their whimsical creations can be found in galleries and craft fairs under the aptly named King’s Whimsey.
